How Fitting - Poem

You gave me eyes, and dressed me

In comparison, blessed me

Held me at arms length and squinted.

Sized me up, your predictions

Shift your depth of field to distant horizon

My blurred skin, words and limbs left lifeless

Define me as you see fit

Give me sight, give me teachings, give me purpose

How fitting

Give me might, give me lesions, give me surface

How fitting

I am yours

How fitting

I am more

How fitting

I am flawed, dressed, sewn and good

How fitting
