Snake
Perched in a tree together, we stare out over the barrens. Though relatively safe, we feel a disturbing presence. Looking down we see a snake at the base of our tree, with a face resembling our own.
Is this a reflection, or a trap?
“Be wary of your own reflection friend. It will bite back.” murmurs a voice that perhaps is my own.
The snake approaches, and whispers quietly to us.
“What more could you need?
What more could you ask for?
Wouldn’t you like to know?
Comfort is relative.
Boundless realities await if you give into your greed.”
This snake knows me it seems. But do I know that which it knows?
Welcome to the garden.
